The Big Bang Theory Cast: Where Are They Now?
13. John Ross Bowie - Barry Kripke
From one of Sheldon's enemies to another, Barry Kripke was played to perfection by the wonderful John Ross Bowie. Complete with a speech impediment that made it difficult for him to pronounce his Rs, Kripke considered himself quite the ladies man, which couldn't have been further from the truth once you saw the evidence provided. At least he could still find joy in making Sheldon's life a misery.
While his character may not have been too successful in the ladies department, the actor behind Kripke had some rather successful roles on our screens, particularly in his roles as Cavendish in Jumanji: The Next Level and Jimmy DiMeo in Speechless, the latter of which sadly ended in the same year as TBBT. After loaning his voice to Milo Murphy's Law, JRB was also cast in The Kiss-Off and Bad Therapy as Kevin and Nick, and guest starred in one episode each of American Princess (as Colin Hayes) and Carol's Second Act (as Gordon).
Speaking of guest appearances, Bowie has appeared as himself in both Well, This Isn't Normal, and Under A Rock With Tig Notaro, where he reunited with fellow Big Bang star Kaley Cuoco. Coming in the near future for Bowie is a part in short film Thankful, where he plays Peter. That project is currently sat in post-production at the time of writing, so expect to see it in the not too distant future.
