In The Big Bang Theory, Penny and Sheldon have a unique relationship.

This pair of friends are complete opposites of each other. Sheldon is a certified genius who likes sci-fi and all things in his life to be neat and tidy, whereas Penny has her street-smarts and really couldn't care less about having a tidy apartment.

However, over the 12 seasons of The Big Bang Theory, we see this duo form a strong bond. Sheldon trusts Penny, whilst Penny begins to view Sheldon like a brother. Kaley Cuoco's character is not afraid to stand up for Sheldon against online bullies when they steal his stuff, and Cooper even drives Penny to the hospital when she dislocates her shoulder.

When Penny first moves in to the apartment next door and disrupts Sheldon's life, neither would know just how much they would come to love and and respect each other over the years.
