The Falcon & The Winter Soldier: 12 Biggest Takeaways From Episode 5

Part of the reason why this series got off to a slow start is because Sam and Bucky, the two titular characters, didn't share a single scene in the opening episode. From the moment they were brought together in episode two however, the series was able to properly take off.

Sam and Bucky, and Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, have an incredible chemistry that just works so well on screen. They were almost like squabbling brothers when they first came together, which was hilarious in itself, but now they have evolved into a true team, even if they wouldn't admit it themselves.

Episode five essentially put the brakes on the story of the series, and dug deeper into the characters. Sam and Bucky's relationship greatly benefitted from this, as they were able to show that there doesn't have to be a fight going on for them to be damn entertaining.

Anyone who says they would have expected a montage of Falcon and the Winter Soldier fixing up a boat, with the greatest respect, is a liar, and anyone who says they thought it would have been as much fun as it was is an even bigger liar. They could easily carry on this franchise moving forward, whether as another season of this series, or even as a movie.
