Speaking of enemies, there is one name that has been mentioned who may well be serving as the big bad for the second season: Mirror Master. Both Kreisberg and Gustin have mentioned the character in reference to Season 2, so it seems almost certain that hell be showing up. Mirror Master is a recurring foe of The Flash, first as Sam Scudder and later Evan McCullogh, one who uses mirrors (obviously) as a weapon, although theres more to it than that. His advanced technology means that he can use them for hypnotism, to transform his appearance, trap people inside of them and, perhaps most pertinently for where the show is headed, travel between dimensions. Hes a character fans have been waiting for since the show started, and it looks like they may not be waiting too much longer. The other villain teased by Kreisberg was Dr Alchemy. Also known as Mister Element, hes a former police forensics lab officer who has a split personality: on one hand hes a nice, normal citizen, and on the other hes an evil criminal. Upon finding the Philosophers Stone, he possesses the ability to transmute any element into any other. Aside from these two, its likely well be seeing plenty more new villains, as well as a few leftover from season 1 (surely we havent seen the last of Grodd?), meaning therell be plenty to keep Barry and his team busy. Kreisberg also mentioned something outside of Mirror Master and Dr Alchemy that he hoped would have people losing their minds. That may be something already covered, such as Jay Garrick, or it could be something else entirely.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
