At some point, Barry Allen and Iris West are going to get together. They've moved closer towards that end point each year, from Barry telling Iris how he feels, to her reciprocating those feelings. Heck, they're already married over on Earth-2, and at the end of last year were ready to enter a relationship - until Barry instead decided to go back in time and rewrite history.

Even in Flashpoint, however, Barry and Iris will be drawn to each other, and perhaps without the weight of their history they'll move closer to becoming an item in that reality.

Once that's done, there'll no doubt be ramifications for Barry to face about his actions and changing the timeline, but as Season 3 progresses we should see the series get to a point where West-Allen becomes a thing in this reality. If they're the endgame relationship (which the future suggests), then the show needs to explore the pairing sooner rather than later.
