It may sound lame, but The Flash has been incredible this year. Many shows experience sophomore slumps after strong debuts but The Flash has done what many shows could not. It continued to build on what made its first season a success while addressing the concerns and adjusting little things at the same time. The action has been visceral, the effects have been better than expected and the characters have all contributed in meaningful ways. Everyone has something important to do and each character is getting an arc of their own. The villain has shown promise and the hero has only become more likeable and humanized. The show isnt perfect, but its still damn fine television and even if it were to change nothing, it would still finish out Season 2 strong. The Flash should still strive to improve, but it needs to do so without giving up the things that currently make it work. This last batch of episodes should help shore up its identity, and if it can build on that through a strong finale, then all the better. Do you think The Flash is already perfect as it is? What would you want to see in these last episodes? Let us know in the comments.
