The Flash: 10 Things You Didn't Know About Grant Gustin

7. He Audtioned For The Role Of Finnick Odair In The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Back when Gustin was either making our skins crawl or making us weak at the knees (or both) as Sebastian on Glee, he understandably developed a large following of devoted fans, with many of them campaigning for him to play Finnick Odair in the film adaptation of the second Hunger Games book Catching Fire.

Ironically, Gustin himself spoke of how he had also been drawn to the character after reading the book a year before that - and it appears that he was so taken with Finnick that he actually ended up auditioning for the part in 2012.

Though the part ultimately went to Sam Claflin, the young actor remained very busy throughout that year, returning for multiple episodes of Glee throughout its third, fourth and fifth seasons and starring in TV film A Mother's Nightmare before landing the career-changing role of Barry Allen on Arrow.

Safe to say things worked out pretty well for him.
