The Flash: 8 Craziest (And Most Believable) Reverse-Flash Theories

2. He's Harrison Wells

"Well, duh!" may be your first reaction to reading that - it has obviously already been revealed that Harrison Wells is Reverse-Flash. However, as it should now be obvious to see, fans refuse to accept that Wells is just Wells, instead picking and choosing alternatives from the comic books. What if Reverse-Flash is simply just Dr. Harrison Wells? It certainly wouldn't be the first time that a comic book TV show or movie has created a new character and given them a pre-existing alter-ego. Just look at The Mandarin in Iron Man 3 or Skye (who was later revealed to be Quake) in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The fact is, this season of The Flash has spent a lot of time establishing a history and back story for Wells, so is it really all that hard to believe that he just ended up becoming Reverse-Flash? That doesn't explain his knowledge of the future of course, though it could be that the scientist just discovered a way of accessing that through some sort of experiment. On the other hand, Reverse-Flash may have somehow stolen Wells' identity and appearance upon becoming stuck in the past as his powers would indicate that he's limited in his abilities. That was recently revealed to be the result of his lack of access to the Speed Force. Is he just training Barry up so he can steal it from him? If so, Wells has to be a time traveller.
