The Flash Season 2: 10 Big Questions We're Asking After The Fury Of Firestorm
10. So, What Was Up With That Shark-Man?
We got quite a bit of Patty and Barry awkwardly and slightly obliviously flirting with each other this week, and they're definitely going to be going on a date sooner rather than later, which is great because dammit the two of them are fun to watch together. But that's not what we're here to discuss. This is about the shark-man. Man-shark. Whatever it was. Even Barry - who has seen all manner of metahumans and fought a huge psychic gorilla(!) - is skeptical at the idea of there being a giant shark walking the streets of Central City, and Patty's claims are pretty much dismissed right up until the episodes final moments. Then, out of nowhere, the shark grabs Barry, Patty's bullets don't harm it, and it's up to Harrison Wells to save the day. Putting the Wells stuff to one side for a moment, it was a fantastically comic-book moment to see the shark - the show's take on the comic character King Shark - appear, and hopefully we'll get a bit more of him either next week or sometime down the line. Although if this is the only time we see him, it's one hell of a way to make an entrance (and an exit).
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
