The Flash Season 2: 10 Big Questions We're Asking After 'Legends Of Today'
7. Can Malcolm Help Them Stop Savage?
Considering Malcolm Merlyn is so far removed from the happenings of Star City, his inclusion almost always feels welcome, if shoe-horned in. Nonetheless, he does little more than function as an exposition dump, appearing out of literally nowhere (much to Barrys annoyance) to help expand their world and tell them a few things about Vandal Savage. Malcolm seems genuinely scared of what Savage can do and despite boasting a small army, doesnt seem inclined to join in the fighting. Considering that Savage is immortal and, despite being Ras al Ghul, Malcolm no longer has that power, hes certainly right to approach with caution. Practically, it makes sense for Malcolm to stay out of the fight, but could he even stop Savage if he wanted to? It seems like its going to require some sort of magic to do so and few are more versed with mysticism than Malcolm. So long as Vandal never comes after Thea, it appears Malcolms capability of stopping him may never be revealed.
