Both The Flash and Arrow made a number of references to Coast City last year, culminating with Oliver Queen boarding a ship headed there at the end of the season 3 flashbacks. While we now know that we'll be seeing it on Arrow, there was one line in The Flash that suggests more to come. At an old Ferris Air base, we hear that it closed down after "one of their test pilots went missing." That is taken to be a nod to Hal Jordan, best known of course as the Green Lantern. Will the show really be introducing the Emerald Crusader? It'd be an absolutely huge, game-changing moment, and you'd expect that Green Lantern would get his own show if he were to appear, yet nothing's been confirmed. Another possibility is that it could tie into the backstory of Zoom, or another villain we're set to meet. That may be more plausible, but nowhere near as exciting. A Green Arrow/Green Lantern/Flash superhero TV team-up? Insert that Futurama meme right here.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
