The Flash Season 2: 12 Big Questions We're Asking After 'King Shark'

3. Wait, Jay Garrick Is Zoom?

Maybe not as big a surprise after last week, and many online theories suggesting as much, but still: Jay Garrick is Zoom. What. The. F---?! I guess this at least finally explains his going missing whenever something bad happened (see, it's like that superhero secret identity thing, but with a villain!...), and makes his character a little bit interesting at last. There's still a lot to be explained with regards to the 'how in the hell does this even work' stuff, but there's also the problem that it makes the Zoom arc feel even more like a retread of last year. What's more, it doesn't feel as worthwhile or hard-earned, because, well, who really cares about Jay Garrick? Sure, comic fans recognise the name and get excited about what it means, but in terms of the show, he's done nothing, and hasn't exactly stood out for a winning personality either. Jay Garrick is Zoom. We've got a month off to think about that, and then the show has a few episodes left to really make us care about it, and avoid it just being a poor copy of Season 1.
