The Flash Season 2: 15 WTF Moments From 'Potential Energy'

2. Wells€™ Dark Instinct

As shown at the end of this season€™s mid-season finale, it seems that Harrison Wells is a no-good sort regardless of what world he€™s from. Earth-1€™s Wells was killed by Eobard Thawne, who then proceeded to assume his identity and torment Barry Allen as the Reverse-Flash. Earth-2€™s Wells seemed to be a decent guy, though. Creepy, sure, but he was helping to fight the good fight against Zoom€ well, until the mid-season finale saw him agree to work alongside Zoom to steal Barry€™s speed. And now, here in Potential Energy, we get to see him talk about his €œdark instinct€. Just the tone of his voice when discussing this was eerie and chilling enough, but we were then given the shocking surprise of seeing Wells forcefully extracting samples from the holed-up Turtle.
