The Flash Season 3: 7 Ups And 2 Downs From 'Paradox'

Ups...

7. Felicity Smoak, Sounding Board

Arrow Felicity Smoak
The CW

At one point in time, Emily Bett Rickards’ Felicity Smoak was the apple of every fanboy’s eye. Then Arrow’s fourth season happened.

Whilst the last season of Arrow certainly took some of the shine off the Felicity character, her appearance in Paradox was well placed and brimming full of the charm and quirkiness associated with the old Felicity Smoak.

Barry Allen has always had a close bond with Felicity, and Grant Gustin and Emily Bett Rickards have a special chemistry together. It was great to have Felicity used here to further push home the changes that have been made as a result of Flashpoint.

Having Barry using Felicity as a sounding board of sorts made perfect sense. It gave Barry someone to confide in, whilst also allowing viewers the chance to be guided through just where things stand in this current timeline.
