The Flash Season 5: 6 Major Questions We Have For The Second Half
2. Why Is Nora Working With Reverse-Flash?
Without a doubt, the season's most shocking moment also took place in the show's 100th episode, when Nora returned to the future to visit Iron Heights and confront none other than the Reverse-Flash himself, Eobard Thawne (who was once again wearing the face of Harrison Wells). In that moment, it became clear that the pair knew each other. Understandably, this revelation left viewers stunned, wondering why The Flash's daughter was working with his biggest enemy.
Whatever the reason, it does seem to have something to do with the time language that Nora has been using in her journal (that only she can understand) as she ensured that Gideon transcribed the message and sent it off to Thawne. If this is the case, it could have serious repercussions.
Remember, Sherloque Wells managed to translate a single line of Nora's journal - a line that read: "The timeline is malleable". This may suggest that, contrary to what we've seen from Nora's father, the timeline can be manipulated without causing any major damage. Moreover, it might explain why her presence in the past hasn't had bigger consequences - because she's learned from Thawne, who happens to be a master of manipulating the timeline.
But what does Thawne get out of all this? Time will tell, won't it?
