6. That Playful Shot At The CW

For years now, The CW€™s key shows have been known for being very, well, CW-ish. Plenty of boxes are ticked in terms of ethnicity, age, background, and each character of each show usually has a certain easy-on-the-eye appeal. So, it was great to see CBS€™ Supergirl use the Cat Grant character to brilliantly poke fun at the ever-glossy CW network. When confronted by the site of Kara, James, Winn and the newly-arrived Barry, Cat abruptly quips €œYou look like the attractive yet nonthreatening racially diverse cast of a CW show.€ Bravo, Ms. Grant. Bravo.
