The Handmaid's Tale Season 2: 10 Big Questions After 'Other Women'

3. How Was Omar's Involvement Discovered?

Despite her return to captivity, June's bold and brazen attitude was very much present throughout Other Women. She may have resumed her role as Offred, but this time June will not stay silent. Again, because of her pregnancy, the rules aren't as severely enforced as they were before. For example, June isn't punished when she calls Serena by her first name, nor is she abused when she talks about her life before Gilead.

However, this attitude began to get on Serena's nerves, so Aunt Lydia intervened. The authoritative woman tried to kill June with kindness, you know, as opposed to just killing her. She took June out for a breath of fresh air, and they walked by the famous river that viewers saw a lot during the first season.

Lydia made June pay specific attention to the wall where the rebels and sinners bodies are often strung up. But this time, there was only one body hanging from the wall. It was here that Lydia told June the dead man was one of her former accomplices: the bread-delivery guy, Omar, who helped her escape.

There is still a lot of ambiguity surrounding how the powers that be found out where June was hiding out, but now we're left wondering how they discovered Omar's involvement. During last week's episode when Omar picked up June, he was informed that the safe house was sabotaged. So perhaps one of the other accomplices gave up Omar's name? Or maybe someone saw June while she was hiding out in his apartment.
