The Haunting Of Hill House Season 2: 5 Things To Know About Bly Manor
1. It Could Have Subtle Links To Hill House
Hill House’s Oliver Jackson-Cohen (Luke) told Digital Spy back in October that “there’s a couple of Easter eggs at the end that allow it” to continue for a second season. He added that they’re not obvious, but it’s Flanagan “being a genius” again.
However, in response to his comments, Michiel Huisman (Steven) said he doesn’t know what a second season would entail. It could be related to the Easter eggs, but it “could also be something totally different.”
At this point, it’s hard to say if there’ll be any connections considering Bly Manor is an entirely new ghost story. But since Flanagan has proved to be a master of adaptation, it’s very possible that he’ll use his genius to find ways to link Bly Manor to Hill House.
After all, in addition to Easter eggs from Jackson’s book, Flanagan did manage to make reference to Doctor Who and E.T. in season 1. He has also left hidden references to his previous films in his adaptation of Gerald’s Game.
