The Mandalorian Season 2: 10 Major New Reveals From EW's Feature And Stills
8. The Rumoured New Cast Members
As noted, the premiere date for The Mandalorian season two was only confirmed last week, and it's only now that Lucasfilm is finally starting to pull back the curtain on what's to come. This report from Entertainment Weekly confirms that shooting wrapped just four days before the industry-wide shutdowns which came as a result of current world events, with post-production proving challenging.
The biggest according to Favreau was finding a way to pull off Ludwig Göransson’s orchestral score. "We had to have people either recording remotely, or in much smaller groups, distanced very far apart," he explains. "I’m hearing the music now as we’re mixing episodes, and it’s remarkable what they were able to achieve under the circumstances."
The site doesn't quite confirm the rumoured new casting additions which have been popping up online, but mention that Rosario Dawson will play Ahsoka Tano, note that Temuera Morrison is "presumably some version of a clone trooper or iconic bounty hunter Boba Fett," and add that Katee Sackhoff is a live-action Bo-Katan Kryze, while Michael Biehn and Timothy Olyphant will also appear.
