The Office: Ranking Every Main Character Worst To Best

4. Pam Beesly

There was an honesty and realness to Pam that made her one of the most relatable characters within The Office. She was quiet and frequently uncomfortable with the loud and obnoxious antics of the ensemble, yet perfectly able to play along with them when she wanted to. This made her thoroughly easy to understand and to root for.

Jenna Fischer really nailed this role, as she captured all of the exact elements needed to keep the character entertaining despite her low-key energy. While other characters like Darryl and Oscar suffered a little because of their reserved nature, Pam made perfect sense as she simply tried to survive in this job that wasn't her true passion. Is there anything more relatable than that?

Of course, as one half of the show's major romance angle, it did get a little frustrating to see her and Jim take so long to come together. However, the characters went in such an exciting direction once they did. Pam explored entirely new prospects such as career changes, loyalty, and motherhood while still feeling like the young character that fans always knew and loved.
