The Office: Ranking Every Main Character Worst To Best
1. Dwight Schrute
Many readers might be shocked that Michael Scott didn't reach the peak of this list. But really, it could be no one other than Dwight Schrute. This character was a perfect addition to the cast, and Rainn Wilson filled the role with so much personality that it was impossible not to become invested in him.
While his love interest Angela was too unlikeable to be redeemed, fans everywhere were happy to get behind Dwight - despite his awful behaviour - because he was the show's funniest character. Seeing him transition from Jim's antagonistic foil to a dedicated worker and friend was one of the best shifts in the show.
Further from this, Dwight was often a major player in driving the plot forward. He would introduce many new ideas and would help to carry episodes. This increased drastically after Schrute farms was brought in, and fans got to see the kind of peculiar life that his family lived.
He could be a little too much at times, but in a show as wild as this, that made perfect sense, and helped him stand out amongst the crowd.
