The Simpsons: 10 Best Star Wars References

4. An Episode Dedicated To Everyone Who Died In Star Wars

One of the greatest Star Wars gags in Simpsons history has to be the dedication to "everyone who died in Star Wars" in season eighteen's Revenge Is A Dish Best Served Three Times, simply because it spells out exactly what casual fans think of the series as a whole. Darth Vader? Check? Darth Maul? He was the best part of The Phantom Menace. Jimmy Smits' character? Most casual fans probably don't even remember that he was in a Star Wars film, let alone the character's name. Random storm troopers (sic), the fact that General Grievous was a droid - these dedications actually get more of a chuckle than the episode itself. Among the dedications not seen above are Jabba, Uncle Owen, "Unfortunately, Not Jar-Jar Binks" and "Everyone On Both Death Stars When They Blew Up."
