The Simpsons: 10 Best Treehouse Of Horror Episodes

3. Treehouse Of Horror IV

Bart Simpsons Dracula
Fox

Making a change from the trend set by the first three Treehouses of Horror, this episode was introduced and curated by Bart, showing off the stories as exhibits in a museum. This added a lot of fun in between the stories, starting with 'The Devil and Homer Simpson.'

We all know how much Homer loves donuts, but even this was put to the test as he sold his soul to the Devil for one. The trial for the rightful ownership of the soul is witty, clever, and ends with a genuinely touching moment from Homer and Marge's long history together.

While the middle section of this episode doesn't quite live up to either the first or the last, 'Terror at 5.1/2 feet' is a lot of fun, as Bart parodies Nightmare at 20, 000 feet. The best part of this episode however, it the final segment, 'Bart Simpson's Dracula'.

Some of The Simpsons' spoofs have been known to miss the mark, but Mr. Burns as Dracula is the casting that we never knew we needed. From Homer driving a stake into his boss' crotch, to the super fun happy slide and the true head vampire reveal, this was better than the far too intense story about dogs playing poker could have ever been.
