11. Homeland

Seen In: Homerland (Season 25, Episode 1) With a title like that, Homeland was begging for a Simpsons spoof. Naturally, the show made Homerland, an episode in which Homer fills the Damian Lewis role as his family wonder whether he has been brainwashed into becoming a terrorist. The show has fun giving the tense drama of Homeland's first season a Simpsons twist, with Homer mirroring Brody's strange detachment. It even does The Simpsons' favourite thing of aping another show's title sequence, with a take on Homeland's opening that ends with a whale head on top of Lincoln's Memorial. It would get extra marks if it featured Claire Danes, as Kristen Wiig guest stars to fill the Carrie Mathison-esque role instead. Even with that, though, Homerland is still one of the best, most complete, TV spoofs from The Simpsons in recent years.
