The Simpsons: Every Main Character Ranked Worst To Best

1. Bart Simpson

The Simpsons Krusty
20th Television

If you want to talk about the cultural significance of The Simpsons, then you cannot overstate just how big Bart was. The youngest Simpson boy exploded onto the scene with merchandise, catchphrases and even his own song, "Do The Bartman". It's safe to say that he became the biggest Simpson in popular culture, and even to this day, he's remembered as an icon.

So what exactly makes Bart so popular? Firstly, he captures that sense of juvenile play that viewers love. Bart acts out and does what he wants, which should be frustrating, but it isn't because he's so confident about it. He never seeks to hurt or upset anyone; he just does things he finds fun. It's hard not to be envious of this cavalier attitude.

Further from that, he's also been prone to feats of bravery. He's defended his sisters and friends many times, showing that despite his cool attitude, he does care. Even when he misbehaves, he often ends up doing the right thing, proving that he's got strong morals.
