He does so darn well at the power plant, why not let him fly an intergalactic space ship? What could possib-lie go wrong? Remember Homer managing to cause a meltdown in a simulator with no nuclear material in it? We see something along those lines happening. However, at least he can use the "it's my first day" excuse at the end (or just shrug it off with "quack quack quack").
