1. Eastman
Despite only appearing in one episode, Eastman had a huge impact on Morgan Jones and season six of The Walking Dead.
We meet Eastman in a flashback to when Morgan was having a prolonged psychotic break, killing anything in his path. Instead of killing Morgan, Eastman locks him up in a jail cell until he can talk some sense into him.
Eastman keeps Morgan sane and fed, slowly telling him the devastating story of how his family was murdered and his plan to exact vengeance on the killer. Eastman promises Morgan that there is no pleasure in killing and offers to train him in Aikido and the 'art of peace.'
Like most great characters on The Walking Dead, Eastman is bitten by a zombie and succumbs to infection, leaving Morgan with a new sense of balance and wisdom. The jail cell in Alexandria is a testament to Eastman and the pacifist philosophy that challenged Rick's 'kill or be killed' ideology.
Eastman was played by veteran character actor 'John Caroll Lynch' and gave us a performance that truly reminded us how great the writing on 'The Walking Dead' can be.
