These two go together. These deaths were by no means enjoyed by fans, but the suspense that carried from the season 6 finale all the way to the season 7 premiere really set the stage for the most shocking deaths on The Walking so far. Fans weren’t just shocked by the answer to the “who-did-Negan-kill” question.
What brought things to a peak was the repetitive, violent bashing of Glenn and Abraham’s head by Negan’s baseball ball Lucille. The fact that the group including Maggie and Sasha, were right there watching made things all the more intense and sad.
Whether fans were happy with who got killed off or not, no one can deny the show’s amazing strategy of keeping who died a mystery, before unveiling the victims through extreme graphic violence in that satisfying season premiere.
