The Walking Dead: 10 Major Predictions For The Rest Of Season 6
7. Cannon Fodder Will Be Killed Off
I'm just gonna throw some names out there: Kent. Anna. Eric. Ringing any bells? Olivia. Bob. Barbara. Nope, still nothing. The Walking Dead has always had a big cast - too big, in truth - which has hindered it, especially since they arrived at Alexandria. There are an awful lot of red shirts in the Safe Zone. They don't particularly contribute anything, and the show isn't going to develop them. They're just there, waiting to be victims of walkers or the latest villain. With the show likely to expand its scope again in Season 6B, and new characters to be introduced, then it means getting rid of some of the cannon fodder, and the likes of those mentioned above will need to go. Furthermore, there's room for slightly bigger characters to be moved on as well. The likes of Eugene and Rosita spring to mind. They've been wasted really, and missed any potential of becoming valuable parts of the group, so might as well kill 'em off and make room for some fresh meat, eh?
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
