The Walking Dead: 10 Most Disappointing Episodes Ever

2. Now (Season 6, Episode 5)

The Walking Dead Swear
AMC

The Walking Dead's sixth season saw the group proceed on through the wilderness, settling permanently at the walled town of Alexandria. Some animosity between letting Rick and company in eventually subsided as the community started to crank out a living.

It appears an ideal place to rebuild; that is, until the Wolves show up. A minor group in the series, this pack of hunters is characterised by their creepy face paint and hostility to peaceful co-existence. Things come to a head when the enemy attacks, intent on taking Alexandria's resources for themselves.

In the previous episode "Here's Not Here" the Wolves attack the settlement and casualties ensue. It was a fairly unpredictable confrontation with the two sides sneaking around Alexandria to get the drop on each other. When it came to following up the encounter, things quickly went sideways with a mostly uneventful outing.

As the aftermath of Alexandria's invasion weighed heavily on the characters, The Walking Dead fell back on a rather underhanded trope. Much like season 2 before it, the episode mainly involves the characters reacting to events that transpired. This effectively stops the season dead in its tracks and wastes an episode on character interactions rather than working to push things forward.
