The Walking Dead: 10 Outrageous Comic Moments That Won't Be Used

Carl Grimes has gotten better as a TV character over the last season or so. After spending a lot of the show basically just being a whinging, moody little teenager who was really irritating to watch, he's becoming a bit of a bad-ass zombie killer. The development will hopefully continue, but will it have some disastrous results?

In the comics, Alexandria comes under attack from a huge group of walkers, and in the ensuing madness there is some friendly fire that results in Carl being shot in the head, taking out his eye and a decent chunk of his face. Somehow, though, he manages to survive, and this transforms him from a child into a much more hardened and brutal survivor.

It’d be a hugely shocking moment on the TV show if Carl were to be shot, and could provide a major cliffhanger between seasons (or mid-seasons) as to his fate, but the thought of having a teenager, who’s also a pretty big character, having his face partially blown off seems like one even The Walking Dead won’t do.

Unfortunately, eye don’t think we’ll be seeing this anytime soon. *Eye* don’t think so, Coral!
