Tell It To The Frogs opens with a bittersweet reunion. After their escape from Atlanta, Rick and the others make their way back to camp, where Officer Friendly finds his wife, son and best friend alive and well. It's a bright moment of happiness, tainted by Lori and Shane's recent affair.

Despite the complications, though, other issues begin to rear their heads, including Daryl's introduction and his raging reaction to his brother being left in the city, and Rick's insistence that he wants to go back into town to save Merle and retrieve the guns he dropped.

The halfway point of the season, Tell It To The Frogs not only introduces the two longest-standing characters of the show in Daryl and Carol, but it also gives an early glimpse into the fragile and violent psyche of Shane Walsh, who beats Carol's abusive husband half to death.

It's shocking, it's brilliantly performed, and it's here that things start to get really complicated for Rick as he continues to integrate himself into the world.
