Splinter is one of the season's six add-on episodes, and it follows series newcomer Princess as she battles confinement and increasing paranoia whilst held captive by the mysterious Commonwealth soldiers.
Coming complete with a thrilling pace and a genuine shock twist, the episode is a great showcase for star Paola Lázaro, but lacks any major development for Eugene's hopes of making it to the Commonwealth.
A standalone thriller that's great fun in the moment, Splinter's different and exciting, but ultimately skippable and easily forgotten once it's done.
