4. Chokepoint
Chokepoint takes place on the road, as Daryl, Connie, Henry and Lydia flee from the Whisperers and ponder where to go next. They seem to be heading in the right direction, until Lydia informs them that Beta will be on the trail, and willing to kill so he can find what Alpha wants.
Mostly an atmospheric character-driven episode, Chokepoint brings Henry and Lydia together in a sweet way, and features some great moments of bonding between Daryl and Connie, who constantly puts him in his place.
The best part of the episode, though, comes near the end, when Daryl faces off with Beta in the show's single most impressive one-on-one fight scene. Daryl wasn't going to die, but Chokepoint still makes the fight feel unpredictably tense. It's a fantastic cap-off to a great episode, especially when Daryl tricks the big guy to beat him.
