3. Mary
Mary (Thora Birch) was a former Whisperer known as Gamma. Loyal to Alpha at first, she struck up an unlikely friendship with Aaron and betrayed her to the Survivors.
Later, she joins the communities in the Battle of Hilltop, and during the retreat bravely saves the lives of Alden (Callan McAuliffe), Kelly (Angel Theory) and baby Adam. Though she manages to kill numerous walkers in her final moments, she is blindsided by Beta (Ryan Hurst), who brutally stabs her to death and waits for her to turn.
When she does, she is mercifully killed by a well-placed arrow from Alden, who realised in the end that she was a good guy after all.
