But how does The Governor himself finally meet his end? In the TV show he is impaled by Michonne and left to die outside of the prison, though Tara's sister Lilly (who's daughter died after The Governor left them unprotected) furious over his actions and with nothing left to live for, finishes him off with a pistol shot to the head before allowing herself to be torn apart by walkers. In the comic books, she does still shoot The Governor through the head with a pistol, though she also pushes his corpse into a herd of walkers before returning to Woodbury as the new, non-psychotic leader. Also, her motive isn't the death of her child but a show of remorse after killing TWO main characters from Rick's group with one shot...
