The Walking Dead Season 11 Review - 6 Ups & 2 Downs From "What's Been Lost"

6. Up - Pamela's Scheme With Yumiko

The Walking Dead
AMC

Carol is not the only one to receive a big spotlight in What's Been Lost as Yumiko, one of the people that Judith Grimes saved back in season nine, also gets some time to shine.

Continuing her vendetta against the people of Alexandria and Hilltop following Eugene and Max's plans to sabotage the Milton family, Pamela reveals to the justifiably distraught Yumiko that she will be forced to prosecute Eugene following his arrest in last week's finale. Upset by the inhumane capture of her friends, the politician forces the Commonwealth's promising lawyer to go up against her friend to save everyone else.

Most of the season has seen Yumiko as a calm and collected person who has been able to formulate a plan and stay one step ahead of everyone around her. However, she was not expecting the pleasant appearance of Pamela to come undone and reveal her more sinister side, provoking a reaction that the governor was all too happy to see that opened up the episode on a sour and tense note.

It's a great moment as up to this point, the tension between the two has slowly grown and finally came to a boiling point that was just too entertaining not to turn away and see where it can go from there.
