9. How Badly Was Rick Hurt?

One of the biggest moments of the entire episode will be completely forgotten by 90% of the audience. Rick's hurtling down a road when he encounters a gaggle of walkers. He manages to wipe them all out easily, but there was a moment where he slit his hand on a blade sticking out from one walker. It may have seemed innocuous, but walker blood was surely on the knife which went into his hand. There's a strong, strong chance that walker blood has entered his bloodstream, right? Executive Producer David Alpert has said: "It's definitely played as ambiguous... I would say that if it is zombie blood, either he's going to have to cut off his hand or he's going to have to die. Those are the rules of the world. But we'll see that play out fairly quickly."
