The Walking Dead Season 7: 10 Big Questions We're Asking After 'The Well'

5. Will Jerry Get A Bigger Role?

The Walking Dead Ezekiel Carol
Gene Page/AMC

With his loyal nature, cheerful disposition, and habit of cracking great/terrible jokes, Jerry is instantly a Walking Dead fan favourite.

Whether it's a well-timed pun or saying "deuces", Ezekiel's right hand man is on hand throughout the episode to keep the humour levels at an unprecedented high for the series.

The question, then, is whether he'll amount to anything more than that? Is Jerry destined to live his probably-shortened life as comic relief, the guy in each episode for about three scenes and two lines of memorable dialogue? Or will they make some attempt at turning him into a more fleshed-out character?

Either way, he's probably gonna die, and we're all going to be sad about it.
