The Walking Dead Season 7: 3 Ups & 6 Downs From 'Swear'

1. Tara Is A Fun Character

Until we eventually get more of Jerry - if we ever get more of Jerry - then Tara is the closest thing the show has to a comedic character. That may change in the wake of learning of Denise's death, but here - before she knows that - she's still that lighthearted, wisecracking character that we've almost come to know.

It makes her reappearance much more palpable, because while the story of her and Heath going off on their own scouting trip isn't particularly interesting, her character helps keep us invested. She's fun to spend time with here, some of her jokes land really well, and she's on the whole fairly likeable. Her optimism, humour, and bond with Cyndie offer up some of the highlights of the episode. It's a decent showing, though not really enough.

NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far. A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
