The Walking Dead Season 7: 6 Ups And 3 Downs From 'The Well'

4. Making Up

The Walking Dead Morgan Carol

Ever since Morgan's return to the show, he has been at odds with Carol. While both on the same side, they had massively conflicting ideologies that meant they butted heads frequently during Season 6. Morgan refused to kill at almost any cost; Carol killed first and didn't bother asking questions later.

However, that's all started to change. Morgan has killed, and it was to save Carol. She, on the other hand, can no longer bring herself to kill anyone again. The pair have had - and still maintain - their differences, but are closer together now, and in a position to understand and respect the other's position.

They're two of the best - heck, arguably the two very best - and most well-developed characters on the show, with two strong actors behind them in Lennie James and Melissa McBride. The pair have a nice chemistry here, and that's best represented in their goodbye scene. Again, Morgan gets to deliver one of the episode's best lines, telling Carol that he's her favourite person he's ever knocked out. "Definitely top two or three." (That's not necessarily saying much, but the sentiment is there all the same.)

While it almost certainly isn't the last they'll see of each other (they're both still in or just outside the Kingdom, and will reconnect with Rick eventually), it's good to see that the pair have gone from attacking each other to a moment that boarders on being touching.
