The Walking Dead Season 7: 6 Ups And 3 Downs From 'The Well'

Downs...

3. Needed More Shiva

The Walking Dead Ezekiel Shiva

Shiva isn't going to blow anyone away in the effects department, but for a show on AMC to pull off a CGI tiger and have it look as good as it does is still a fair achievement from those involved. Ezekiel's 'pet' is convincing enough, and it's awesome to watch an actual freakin' tiger on the screen.

The only downside - and I'm aware this is a bit of a nit-pick - is that there just wasn't enough of her. Part of that will be down to budget restraints, and also due to the story of the episode. Shiva didn't have a big part to play in events, since they were all fairly low-key.

The issue is, well, they're introducing a tiger. And they don't really do anything with it here, save for Ezekiel explaining his backstory. I mean, !*$% I was hyped for some serious tiger action, but instead she didn't really do anything except roar. How cool would it have been for Shiva to accompany Ezekiel on the trip to meet the Saviours? It would've heightened that scene, and given the tiger something more to do. Hell, just show her tearing a walker or two apart and I'll be happy.
