Few characters make the kind of immediate impact as that of Tom Payne's Paul 'Jesus' Rovia, who became a fan-favourite from the minute he arrived on the scene in Season 6 and started giving Rick and Daryl the run-around.

Unfortunately, the first impression wasn't properly followed up on. Jesus largely disappeared from the show by the end, and didn't resurface until a good few episodes into Season 7.

Still, whenever he's on screen he's a captivating, likeable presence, and has a lot to offer the show. A skilled fighter, a respected leader, funny and charming, he's got all the makings of a character who can last multiple seasons, and the show hasn't really started to scratch the surface of him yet. He could be killed off for a cheap shock, but he's much more valuable to the story going forward alive than dead.
