Agents Miller (the believer) and Einstein (the red-headed, skeptical scientist) were introduced in Babylon and returned in the finale of the revival, My Struggle Part 2. They are, in short, Mulder and Scully Jr. Watered down, generic, pretty faces conforming with what's "in" in Hollywood these days. Word is, they were introduced to be part of some backdoor pilot idea, part of a next generation X-Files. But are they really the future? They didn't exactly ignite the imagination of fans, and Chris Carter has mentioned that they were not signed to series contracts. Will they come back if the show returns? Or will Fox, who own the series, simply order more of the original show, or go in an entirely different direction?
