The X-Files: 15 Creepiest Creatures

2. Eugene Victor Tooms

Appeared in: Season 1, Episode 3 - "Squeeze" & Season 1, Episode 21 - "Tooms" One of the creepiest "human" characters to ever appear on The X-Files, Eugene Victor Tooms wasn't exactly human, but rather, an immortal (or incredibly long-lived) creature who extended his life by eating human livers, then nesting and hibernating for years at a time. Played by Doug Hutchison, who would also appear in The Green Mile (but become better known in recent years for marrying sixteen year old bombshell Courtney Stodden), Tooms was the only monster of the week character to appear twice in the show's first season. How creepy was he? Well, he had the ability to elongate his body, squeezing into the tightest of spaces, making him a very, very proficient killer, and one who could leave the cops guessing as to just who was seemingly breaking into locked rooms and extracting human livers. He also built his nests using bile, which was simply disgusting. Oh, and he takes little mementos from those he kills, giving him a serial killer element. Hutchison's portrayal of Tooms - with facial expressions and movements done to perfection - is nothing short of fantastic, and made for one of the most memorable creatures in X-Files history.
