6. Cowboy Lone Gunmen
It was brief, but at least they were back: The Lone Gunmen returned in the second-to-last episode of The X-Files revival, in a hallucination experienced by Fox Mulder while high either on magic mushrooms, or a placebo. It wasn't what fans wanted - most were hoping the show would follow the plot of the comic series, which is considered canon, where the group are revealed to have faked their deaths. However, something is better than nothing - and appearing in a hallucination doesn't discount the Gunmen from being alive. After all, at least they didn't appear as ghosts!
