2. Segmented Storytelling
For weeks, this writer has been endlessly droning on about the issues that would arise if Titans staged yet another bust-up between its core heroes, complaining that it would lead to sporadic and occasional appearances from multiple characters who just don't have time to develop a cohesive narrative while others would be neglected entirely. And you know, what? That's exactly what has happened - something that was abundantly clear in 'Faux Hawk'.
Dawn and Donna made one brief appearance to interrogate a Cadmus official about the whereabouts of Gar, Rachel and Kory argued a little in a scene that served no purpose other than to show us that the latter was struggling with her powers as they decided to head back to San Francisco, and the episode's titular Hawk himself only made sporadic appearances throughout the episode.
Yet again, we have lost multiple episodes to this bizarre method of block storytelling that the show apparently loves, as the team is separated for the gazillionth - and each time it happens, it gets less effective.
The most problematic of all these segments, however, may have been Rose and Jason's. Speaking of which...
