5. The Suit-Up Scene

Titans has never felt like a superhero show - at least not the one fans wanted anyway. It's starting to feel like one, but for the most part, it's just never been able to pull it off - as the first season prioritised unnecessary violence and broodiness over actual heroics and, well, fun.

Season 2's journey towards changing that hit its stride in this week's episode, as the cohesive unit that was Titans 1.0. banded together like the team of young life-loving friends that they were always supposed to be in order to stop an apparent villain of the week. But before they did that, they had to suit up... and suit up they did.

Dick placing his domino mask over his eyes, Dawn elegantly showcasing her dove wings, Donna grabbing her golden lasso, Hank placing his Hawk helmet on his head from an angle specifically designed to highlight its bird-like nose and Aqualad pulling on his boots; the whole thing took its cues from the iconic suit-up scenes from the Schumacher Batman films and, it made for an incredibly epic moment.

You ain't a superhero show without a suit-up scene, so guess what, guys? Titans is finally a superhero show.
