Top 50 Iconic TV Characters of the 90s

10. Danny Tanner - Full House

tumblr_m4wue29iEh1qii8gjo1_500 The first member of the top 10 is none other then Danny Tanner, the man that held the family together in Full House. He was the dad to DJ, Stephanie and Michelle as well as Joey and Jesse's best friend, and not to mention the charismatic host of Wake Up San Francisco and an all around nice guy. Ironically in real life he's a complete jackass but that's neither hear nor there. His character was neurotic, paranoid, out going, loving and good at solving the families problems. Without Danny Tanner there is no Full House, but without Full House there is no Danny Tanner (although that seems pretty obvious). When you say Full House the first thing you think of might not be Danny Tanner, but it should be.

9. Tim Taylor - Home Improvement

Tim-Allen-600x300 Home Improvement was a great show and Tim Taylor was the reason why. He was funny, charming, lovable, caring, grunting, competitive and a good family man. He was the host of Tool Time, a show centered around building different things, you know, manly things. Him and his co host and best friend Al (the voice of reason) often thought they could build anything and often tried to with Tim always trying to take it up a notch ("it needs more power"). Often seeking advice from his neighbor Wilson, Tim always had good intentions, but lacked the common sense needed in order to get his point across. That's what made the show so good, Tim's humility is what humanized the show making him come across as the cool, crazy dad that you always wanted.

8. Bart Simpson - The Simpsons

images Bart Simpson was either the kind of kid that you were or the kind that you wanted to be. He was disrespectful, mischievous, misguided, irresponsible, and didn't care about authority whether it be from his parents or his principal Mr. Skinner. Bart was (and is if you're still a fan today) fun to watch as he continuously disobeyed everyone in his path causing havoc for anyone involved. With all that being said, he was pretty lovable for a 10 year old kid and cared more about his family then he let on. Bart Simpson will definitely go down as one of, if not the most recognizable cartoon character of all time.
