Top 50 Iconic TV Characters of the 90s

15. Ross Geller - Friends

RossScene Ross is the lovable brother of Monica, best friend to Joey and Chandler and had an on and off love affair with Rachel Green. He was the smart one of the group who usually liked to be known as Dr. Geller, after all he was a paleontologist and Professor. His character was incredibly funny, nerdy, smart, goofy, narcissistic, and was great at physical comedy and always seemed to display the perfect mannerisms for any given situation. Friends was an incredible show and Ross was an incredible character. He deserves to be on everybody's list.

14. MacGyver

macgyver Fact, MacGyver's first name is Angus but he's so cool that it doesn't even matter. He could stop a bomb with a toothpick or cut through pure steel using gum and a shoe lace. It didn't matter the situation, MacGyver could handle it. Want more facts? He built that bomb in the picture above out of lint and eye lashes, he's that damn good. Now he could've made this list just based on the fact that he made mullets acceptable in the US again but he's on here for more then that, he's on here because he's an American hero. Hats off Angus.

13. Homer Simpson - The Simpsons

i-10-migliori-lavori-di-homer-simpson-L-Cuv9c_ The picture of him here really speaks volumes, it's what his character was all about. Homer Simpson wasn't the brightest guy in the world but he was a loving family man to his wife Marge, son Bart and daughters Lisa and Maggie. Often found hanging with his buddies at Moe's tavern, Homer was and still remains to be a funny character. He's overweight, loves drinking beer and eating donuts, how much more relatable can you be? Homer Simpson was, is and always will be a TV icon and synonymous with cartoon television.

12. Chandler Bing - Friends

ChandlerScene In my humble opinion, Chandler Bing was the star of the TV show Friends. His wit and sarcasm made every scene he was in memorable and added to the overall enjoyment of the show. Chandler Muriel Bing was Joey and Ross's best friend, Rachel and Phoebe's good friend and later became Monica's husband. Now no one knew what he did for a living but he always seemed to have money and enough of it to consistently let Joey sponge off of him. It's things like that which made him a lovable good hearted guy who always knew what to say and when to say it. Even if it did make him look like an ass half the time. Ok, maybe I'm a little biased because he's one of my personal favorite characters but he deserves to be on the list regardless. Maybe just not as high up as you would like. Watch Friends and then we can debate about it.

11. Ray Barone - Everybody Loves Raymond

everybody loves raymond Ray Barone is far from being in control of his own family but that's what makes him so funny. Not only does his wife Debra have an incredibly dominating personality but his mother's just as bad. Often over ruled by the women in his life, Ray always seems to maintain his cool. His laid back jokey attitude are what made the show so good to watch. Whether he was arguing with Debra or fighting with his brother Robert, Ray always had a calm, cool and collected presence about himself. After all, the show's named after him for a reason.
